Privacy Policy
Istanbul Private Transfers respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you book a transfer, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. It applies to https://www.istanbulprivatetransfers.com and to bookings made by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Who Is Responsible for Your Data

What We Collect
We only ask for what is needed to drive you where you are going and to confirm the booking.
- Identity and contact details — your name, email address and mobile or WhatsApp number.
- Journey details — pick-up and drop-off addresses, date and time, passenger numbers, flight number, hotel name and any notes you add.
- Payment details — see the Payment section below.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through analytics cookies.
Why We Use It, and On What Basis

Payment Information
Card payments are processed by iyzico Ödeme Hizmetleri A.Ş., a payment institution licensed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye. Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered on iyzico's secure payment page and are transmitted directly to iyzico.
We do not see, process or store your full card number or security code. We receive only the result of the transaction, the masked card number (last four digits) and the amount, which we keep as proof of payment.
If you choose to pay the driver in cash, no card details are collected at all.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
- Your chauffeur — name, phone number, pick-up and drop-off details, and flight number, so they can meet you.
- iyzico — as the payment processor, where you pay by card.
- Google — Google Maps for address lookup, Google Analytics for website statistics, and Google Cloud (Firebase) which hosts our booking records.
- Public authorities — only where we are legally required to disclose information.
International Transfers
Our booking records are stored on Google Cloud servers in the European Union. Where data is transferred outside Türkiye or the European Economic Area, it is protected by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and by the safeguards required under Article 9 of the KVKK.
How Long We Keep It
- Booking records — ten years from the date of travel, as required by Turkish tax and commercial law.
- Enquiries that do not become bookings — two years from your last contact with us.
- Website analytics — fourteen months, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
Your Rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, to give you a copy, to correct anything inaccurate, to delete it where there is no longer a lawful reason to keep it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to transfer it to another provider.
Write to info@istanbulprivatetransfers.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU, to your national data protection authority.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, and where bookings start and stop. This tells us nothing about you personally: names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and card details are stripped before anything is sent.
You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The booking form works normally either way.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and booking records are held in access-controlled Google Cloud storage. Only staff who need a booking in order to run it can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will tell you and the authorities without delay if a breach ever affects your data.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified by email to customers with an upcoming booking.
